Vietnam has garnered a lot of attention lately as an international travel destination, and similar to my stay in Thailand, I can definitely say Vietnam lived up to the hype! For my first trip to this Southeast Asian country, I didn’t spend as much time exploring the cities and tourist destinations as usual, but instead was up to something even more fascinating! Check out what I was up to in Vietnam here!

Laos is definitely an up and coming tourist destination, and unlike the other Southeast Asian countries I have visited, you will find Laos much less crowded and hectic. But that doesn’t mean you won’t have a similar experience as you would in Vietnam and Thailand! Don’t skip over a trip to Laos until you’ve at least checked out our page on one of the few communist countries in the world!

Once perceived as one of the most dangerous countries in the world, Colombia had been on the top of our must visit list for years now. We finally got to spend 2 weeks there in 2024, scoping out Bogotá, Cartagena and Medellín, and wow, this country had so much to offer and more we didn’t even have time for! Check our our trip to Colombia here!

I’m sure you’ve seen pictures of natural landscapes that just seem too surreal to be real. Well I bet most of those pictures come from Banff National Park not far from Calgary in Alberta, Canada. Every trail we went on, every bend we walked around provided breathtaking views of nature at its finest. Banff National Park is absolutely one of the must sees for anybody, especially outdoor enthusiasts and travel aficionados!

The “Land of Smiles” certainly lived up to its hype as everybody I met in Thailand was so happy and considerate. Bangkok is a wondrous city, filled with so much to see and do, but mostly, so much food to try! Thais embody their status quo of “Sabai, Sabai” which essentially means to relax, chill and take it easy! This is basically how I felt anywhere in Bangkok and I would highly recommend visiting the country if you ever get a chance!

Famous for their geotechnical engineering marvels, the Netherlands is a country that has continued to prosper despite their unique landscape. Come check out our time in well known Amsterdam, but also in other lesser known cities and popular destinations throughout the low laying lands of the Netherlands!

A classic French dish, Steak Frites literally translates to “Steak and Fries.” Since Brittany studied abroad in France and I flew over for a quick visit, we decided an easy dish to represent France would be this one. Combine that with the proximity and availability of freshly cut steaks at our local chef driven market, and voilà, Steak Frites!

It’s grilled cheese and tomato soup, need I say more? Some ideas in this video may be controversial, but hey, there’s more than one way to skin a cat! All jokes aside, check out this simple and easy video of us cooking a well known and delicious meal!
